Description:

Getting a book at the library or from a used bookstore is a treat in and of itself, but finding something special tucked between the pages is even better! I've found envelopes, letters, bookmarks, cards, photographs, clippings from magazines and newspapers, and so forth, but they were all left there on accident, as far as I can tell.

In this swap, you will send your partner at least 10 items created for the purpose of tucking them inside of library or used books. What those items are is up to you, but a few suggestions might be weird photographs, small cards with funny or inspirational quotes, drawings, and so forth.

There's only one other requirement of this swap, and that is that EACH ITEM MUST CONTAIN THIS EMAIL ADDRESS ON IT: thelibrarylovers@gmail.com. The idea is to get people to email us :) You can simply put the email on the item with no explanation or you can explain/ask the finder to send something specific. I'm just excited to see what we get!

I will send out the password once I assign swap partners.

Any questions?

this reminds me of the toy society which 'drops' toys for others to find.

maybe we can print out an address label to attach to the items with something on it kind of like this, but maybe it's too wordy? lol. ;)

You're invited to email us at "thelibrarylovers@gmail.com" and let us know what book you found this little treasure in or to tell us how much you love your library! We are part of the the "library lovers" group on swap-bot.com, come join the fun!

just something that came to mind as i was reading the swap. :)

Yeah, that might be wordy if you were making something tiny, but if you did something bigger like a bookmark-sized thing, that would totally work! :)

Also, the Toy Society sounds so cool!! I signed up to get more info. Do you do it?

I have actually found all kinds of things in books. They usually are like the "post secret" type messages. It is really neat. I cannot wait to see what my partner comes up with!!

@alexalgebra - I have not done a toy drop but I love reading about what other people have dropped.
