Description:

I've combined my love for many things in this ATC swap! Acrylic, Paris, ATC, and shabby chic. How sweet is that!

For this swap, you will have two partners making 1 ATC for each partner. The base of the ATC needs to be clear. You could use acrylic or reusable packaging etc. Just use your imagination so long as it is a clear base. A clear base is anything that is clear ie. acrylic packaging from store bought items, transparencies, etc. Use your imagination and have fun!

It needs to have at least 3 layers to it. That does not mean 3 embellishments. . . that means LAYERS. So ink, paper, embellishment would be three layers.

Please do your best work and send something that your partner would love to receive!

So it doesn't have a study card base under the see through stuff? Am I right?

I'm watching for now...not quite sure what a "clear" base is...???

Right Gofeen - The base has to be acrylic. What I suggest is to reuse the packaging that items come in today. It is a sturdy acrylic that holds up well. You can also use transparencies if you like. Layering it with cardstock on the inside or outside edges also helps to make it sturdy. Just use your imagination and have fun with it!!

Ya know that obnoxious clear packaging that takes super human strength and wicked sharp scissors to open? That is what she suggests you use! Most types have areas that are flat and can be cut to ATC size. I've used it many times for windows, literal and just as a peep hole to show contents of things in a bag etc. In fact, if you get the kind with a bubble in it like brads are packaged in, you can fill the bubble with beads, sequins, glitter, tiny punchies etc and create a shaker ATC. I think I'll make mine that way! In addition, at most copy centers you can buy a single transparency or clear cover for coil book binding. Both of these work really well. I personally use acetate sheets I have called clear cardstock from PaperTreyInk.com. NAYY (no affiliation yada yada)

I save nearly everything, but I've not saved any of that hateful type packaging. DANG! Can't believe I've been missing out on a good recyclable ATC item. I'll have to dig around in my very cluttered, packed to the gills, craft room to see what I can find that would be useable for this swap. I'm watching this swap for now.

FYI - Michael's sells packs of clear acetate sheets!!
