Ok i know what your thinking. What the heck is a Flat Shirley? Please follow this link to find out http://susanreynolds.blogs.com/artist/flat_stanley/index.html Still interested? Ok here are the details. We will all make Flat Shirley's to send to our partner, along with a disposable camera. For 1 month your flat (insert your name here)will travel along with your partner.Your partner will take photo's using the disposable camera you sent along with her. Now i did this a long time ago with an Altered Book group. We included a little 6x6 travel book with our Flat Shirleys. Our partners added postcards, atc's and decorated pictures for us.If you would like to do this then please do so. Partners you could gain hearts by adding in some extra's..I plan to send a 6x6 book (paper bag)that my partner could add some travel goodies to. At the end of the month send your Flat Shirley back to their owner.I think this will be alot of fun and i hope all of you will to.So here are the details broken down. 1.Use the link provided to print a template.Print out a picture of your face and stick it on your Flat Shirley.Proceed to make your Flat Shirley look as cute or as ugly as you like.If you can color you can do it. 2.Go out and get yourself a disposable camera.Use the same camera you bought to take pictures of the Flat Shirley you receive. 3.Sign up by 9/7 4.Send off to your partner on 9/14 just your Flat Shirley not the camera. This will help save on postage. 5.When you receive your Flat Shirley let your partner know.If you donot receive let ME know. 6.Take your Flat Shirley with you everywhere and take photos. If your partner sent a book, write some letters in it or print them out and glue to the inside of the book.Add some postcards ect make it really fun. 7.10/14 send the camera and the Flat Shirley back to the person who sent it to you. 8.If you are International you may want to consider sending as early as possible. If you have any questions or concerns then please do let me know.Lets all have fun with this. EDITED:IMPORTANT PLEASE READ If you want to keep the camera, take the pictures and develop them, then send them with your Flat Shirley that is fine.In other words buy your disposable camera and keep it to take pics of the Flat Shirley you receive. When it is time to send the Flat Shirley on 10/14 develop the film and send that instead of the camera itself. This will help to save on postage. If you have a digital camera you can also use that.Just be sure that photos can be printed. You will need to send at least 24 photos. For the little traveling book. This is really fun to do and very easy.It can be a minimum of 10 pages and can include whatever you like. However if you cannot make the little book then don't..I plan to do a little book and describe where my F.S. went and did.6x6 in size and made with some nice paper, just punch 3 holes in the paper and tie it together with some ribbon.
