Write me a short story about... In this swap once you sign up you will come back and post 5 things you would like your partner to write a story about for you. PLEASE KEEP THIS A PG SWAP! (Feel free to create a more adult content version should you choose) Once partners are assigned your partner must come and look at your list and choose ONE thing from your list and write you a short story about it. Should be fairly easy to do. 1 partner, 1 theme, 1 stamp, some fun reading. Please remember you must rate your partner when your story arrives. If you receive a story you must rate a 5, hearts are as always up to you. As with all swaps please only sign up if you are able to follow through.

How short is short? Is there a number-of-words range, please? I've been doing micro-fiction lately, so my lengths are all wonky.

TheBigB 06/13/2010 #

Heck yes! I've been loving all the writing swaps I've been seeing lately. Making me productive in my favorite field :) Are you a member of the "Write Now" group? they hold a bunch of fun exercises/swaps. I also second the length question.

Omi 06/13/2010 #

I am so happy and overwhelmed you have joined me! AS for length I must leave it to the author, it is better to not place limits on genius. I did not know about a group called WRITE NOW, I must join them! Reading what you all wrote is inspiring I want to write for all of you! If you really need a limit perhaps ask your partner? Is that fair?

I love to journal (about my boys) and I have a blog (about my artistic endeavors) but these are both "real-life" stories. I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone and am trying to write "fiction" stories. I LOVE the idea of this swap but I'm scared!

Too cool! Glad you jumped in KimberlyJDC! Take one of your real-life stories, and change it to make it more fictional (add characters, change the outcome/situation, etc.).
