I have a serious love affair with ribbon! I use it for everything.... this swap is all about RIBBON...

You will have 1 partner... you will mail your partner 10 (TEN) yards of ribbon... You can send 12 inch pieces, 18 inch pieces, 1 yard lengths and even up to 2 yard lengths... as long as all lengths sent add up to 10 yards....

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR PARTNER MORE THAN 2 YARDS OF THE SAME RIBBON.... and please do not only send just plain solid colored ribbons... send a mixture that will please your partner...

This is an international swap... since ribbon is lightweight...

Newbies welcome with well filled out profile... established swappers must have a 4.5 or higher and no excessive 3s or 1s in the past 5 months

10 yards =9,5 m i guess

Scrappymommy4 05/10/2010 #

1 yard = 36 inches

MistyPup50 05/11/2010 #

Can you include wired ribbon?

NinjaNoodle 05/12/2010 #

10 yards is 9.144m :) So 2 yards is 1.8288m

Scrappymommy4 05/13/2010 #

LOL, we are all SO clever!

I have a question for the brilliant ribbion lover s of this swap, once you get ribbion from the mail, do you iron it or something? how do u get any creases out?

zurdoswifey 05/14/2010 #

For everyone outside of the US.... we use 1 meter for every yard so it would be 10 meters... 30 feet of ribbon or 360 inches

zurdoswifey 05/14/2010 #

Scrappy mommy.... I use my flat iron on a lower temp to straighten mine out.... works wonders...

zurdoswifey 05/14/2010 #

Oh and there is a ribbon iron on the market and I think its made by Around the block... not too sure about what company it is but its pink and Im almost 100% sure it is ATB who makes it

So, @zurdoswifey if we live outstide the states and 1 meter = 1 yard according to your comment above then we send 10 meters which equals 393.70 inches and if our partner is American we will receive 360 inches. .Most of us have rulers that are in both meters/cm and yards/feet/inches so we can cut ribbon in inches, feet or yards to comply with the rules of the swap as posted. But if Canadians are expected to send 33.70 inches more than they will receive I'm sure that we can accommodate our American partners. :-)

zurdoswifey 05/16/2010 #

Well I am completely confused... lol

I think if everyone just sticks to 30 feet we should be good...I dont know how everyone elses rulers are...

So just stick to the 360 inches or 30 feet and it should go smoothly...

I just dont want any Americans to leave 3s because they got less than 30 feet... according to the 1st comment it would be about 18 inches short... I just dont want anyone getting bad ratings because of 18 inches... I personally dont care how it comes out cut wise because I understand that all measuring systems are different... I just love ribbon and want to add to my collection... lol

MistyPup50 05/16/2010 #

I always add extra in most trades anyhow so it's not an issue with me. But to help you become less confused, 1 meter = 39.37 inches. And, I'm with you - I just love ribbon. My husband said that he will cremate my many boxes of ribbons with me. lol.

DutchTammie 05/18/2010 #

Okay ribbon was sended yesterday!

LastMinuteMandy 06/ 1/2010 #

I guess it's safe to assume I won't be getting ribbon, as my partners profile has been deleted? That sorta sucks. :(
