Description:

I haven't seen one of these around lately, so I figured I'd start one!

It's very simple: In this swap you'll send an envelope containing 2 bookmarks and a note with 2 book recommendations on it. The bookmarks can be handmade/free/store-bought, but they should be made of some sort of paper (and decorated if homemade)-- NO metal, fabric or leather bookmarks. Remember to check your partner's preferences to see what they'd prefer.

Everything should be able to fit in a standard size envelope (to keep postage down). Remember to include the swap title and your name on the note.

Sorry, USA only (for postage). Swappers need a filled-out profile, and a rating of 4.5 with no recent no-sends. I'll ban anyone who looks like they'll flake.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions about this swap. :-)

I like this except for no cloth bookmarks. I love making them. I'll think a little more on this. I do have some free ones i've gotten. HUGS

I've never made a bookmark. Do they need to be a certain dimension or do I just wing it and make something long and narrow like you would buy in a store?

@Leigh - you only have to make a bookmark if you want to, free ones and store-bought are fine too. If you do want to try your hand at making them, you can do whatever you want as long as it'll fit in the envelope. You can also google templates if you'd prefer a guide. :-)

Why no fabric? I love fabric/leather/metal book markers. I always send in bigger envelopes anyway if that is the issue.

I just wanted to make sure that people were sending/receiving the same sort of bookmarks. I'd be a little upset if I spent a few dollars on leather ones (more expensive than the paper store-bought ones) only to receive library freebies.

I prefer "no handmade" bookmarks. Because I have a lot. I know the coordinator only requires paper bookmarks. But, I accept any material since you can keep the low shipping. I also accept clips with designs.
