Ok crafty geeks, get our your sewing machine, duct tape, string, glue gun, or whatever your crafty weapon of choice may be. This swap is for each person to MAKE a set of garlands with ninjas, pirates, robots or all three on it for your partner to adorn their home with. Any medium is acceptable! as long as you stick to the theme. Personally I love to make paper garland to string around the kitchen, my craft space, my daughters bedroom and the porch in the summer. They are so fun to make, super easy for anyone who may think they can't craft and useful for making people smile. Each string of garland should be about 4 feet long, which is just long enough to string along a fire place or window sil, but not too long so it gets tangled in the mailing process. I suggest sending them in a plastic bag so they don't get mucked up. 2 x strings of garland to 1 partner If you have never made paper garland, or don't know what it is, google or etsy search paper garland and you will come up with loads of ideas. JUST REMEMBER: It must contain ninjas, pirates, robots or all three (you can just pick one of those though). No recent no sends, unexplained 1's or 3's, I will angel, but please only sign up if you intend to send. IDEAS: use themed scrapbook paper, hand piece the images, print from the computer, use magazine cutouts (I would put hem on tougher paper or laminate), draw the images... the possibilities are endless! |
