Waxing Lyrical

I decided that the 'other cool stuff' section of this group has been neglected for too long, so I have created this swap in order to rectify my negligence. The swap is inspired by/borrowed from a project hosted by Lea Redmond on her website, Leafcutter Designs: Waxing Poetic
(I've just amended the name of the project, as 'waxing lyrical' is phrase I have grown up with, and 'waxing poetic' sounds, to my ears, clunky by comparison.)

For Lea's project, participants were sent a box of 8 different coloured crayons which they were then asked to name, based on non-literal associations: “What does each color remind you of? What does it make you long for? What sound does it make and what does it smell like? Is it a noun, or perhaps a verb? Name the colors with just one word or up to a whole phrase. Maybe it is called "the day I met you." Or perhaps simply "grow."”

For this swap, you will re-name a set of crayons, chosen by you.

Swap requirements

1. Send your partner a box of cheap, unused crayons (minimum 8 different shades). Optional: you may instead make your own crayons, if you prefer, but you must still provide 8 different shades, of equivalent size to a purchased box.
2. Draw up a shade card or chart – colour a small box with each crayon, then at the side of your 'swatch' write its new name. Names can be anything that make sense to you, but must not be an actual colour (e.g. naming a red crayon 'Scarlet' is not allowed; calling it 'Scarlet o'Hara' however, is).
3. Write a brief explanation of your name choices, either separately or alongside.
4. The colour/name chart and explanatory note can be tucked inside the box or sit separately.
5. You will have 1 partner, so you will send 1 box of crayons and receive 1 box of crayons.
6. You will rate your partner on receiving 1 of crayons, 1 colour chart, and 1 explanatory note. You will not rate based on the quality of the crayons, or whether you agree with your partner's name choices and explanations.

The obvious bit
You already had to have a rating of 4.9+ with no recent no-sends, 1s or 3s to join this group anyway, so the same stands for this swap. But I will still double-check before assigning partners, so if you have what you feel is an unfair comment or rating, just PM me & we can try to work it out. :-)
