Description:

This is going to be a scavenger hunt. You will have 1 partner ..to give you time to prepare an extra special package ;)

There is a list below of 16 items. You will select at least 9 of the items to send. This is a profile based swap for the most part so please wait to start putting together your packages until I assign partners. However, the items are up to your discretion. Use your judgment.

It would also be nice if the package itself was decorated. There is no requirement on the size of the package, meaning--if you can fit your items into a bubble mailer, please do so. If not, go for a box.

Here's the list:

send me something...

  • that you made
  • orange
  • related to sewing
  • in a tiny box
  • dinosaur related
  • personalized for me!
  • with stars on it
  • that has to do with music
  • you could send "media mail"
  • from my profile wishlist
  • to make me pretty
  • from a thrift store
  • made of only paper
  • i can eat
  • whimsical
  • you consider to be mail art

Who can join?? No newbies for this. Sorry. :( And at least 15 hearts and a 4.9+ rating. Also, it's going to be international because I like to include everyone. If I get enough response I will run a strictly USA based version. Questions via PM or comments section below!

I would guess the item that can be sent by media mail would be a book, cd, tape, etc, but Media Mail itself as a rate is only good inside the US. I asked yesterday a the post office and there isn't an International Media Mail rate.

@twobluecrows

yeah, you're right. it's a US domestic thing. but the idea of the bullet in this swap is to send something that IS a book, cd, magazine, etc. in the package. it doesn't need to be sent separately. just a different way to word it.

Magazines can't be sent by Media Mail--just FYI--they are disqualified because they have advertisements in them--really annoying! They used to let you send them as Bound and Printed Matter for the same rate, but that rate is really for the publishers, etc, so they make you send them regular first class now--at least at our fussy PO!

Aargh! I have to drop this swap! A package for an earlier International swap went missing in the mail so I may have to resend--to Australia! So, now I can't afford another international package swap for a while. What a bummer!

I would love to join this swap but I'm still in the "newbie" category. Maybe next time. You guys have fun!

I would love to join this swap if there was a USA version (or maybe just a #2 some time in the future, as I can't afford an international package right now!) Please keep me in the loop! Best, -m
