Description:

Special thanks to @cleopatra for letting me host this swap, she was the host of the last one.

There are tons of things we would all like to have access to that aren't avaliable to us in our country and sometimes even the part of the states we live in. Example: Kinder eggs we can't get in the US.

So this swap everyone will have one partner to send some items that are not avaliable in their area of the world. Items do not have to be food, but everyone likes food. These can be anything from crafts to postcards to food and candy, talk to your partner and read over their profile to see what things they might like to have from your area.

Requirments are strict as I don't want anyone to be flaked on. MUST have a 4.8 or higher, no recent 1's or 3's without contacting me first with a good explination, I will decide then. Newbies are welcome with a FULL filled out profile, I will be checking and banning anyone that does not meet the requirements.

I can not angel this swap so everyone be fair. If you flake I will post you on the flakers list and also ban you from all other swaps that i host. Everyone wants to receive something, so everyone lets make sure you send. I will give plenty of time for mailing.

There is no set $ amount but lets make it atleast $3 minimum, you can always send more, its up to the sender.

If I get a partner within the US, I can still send a goodie from another country. Thereare a LOT of specialty stores in my area (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, Slavic, British, ect.), and I'm sure I could find something a bit different for you.

mommyandwife 10/20/2009 #

@tigerlilly327 i wish we had a variety of stores here like that, all we have is a bunch of Mexican stores. I'd love to have a Japanese or Chinese store here.

tigerlilly327 10/20/2009 #

I'm in San Jose, CA and the variety of people we have around here is amazing! I think everyone came in during the internet boom and just never left! Seriously, there are even shops for Australian and Dutch products here! If you ever want to do a private swap just let me know.

I live in Ohio, but can also get several different food items from other countries as we have an ethnic food isle at our grocery store. We also have the most amazing sweet hot mustard processed in Ohio, We also have an Amish bulk food store if you would like some homemade noodles or if you want buckeye candy (chocolate with a peanutbutter type center that looks like a buckeye from the buckeye tree) If you would like American fabric or anything else in particular, would be glad to get it for you.

What I would love to get are some chicken oxo cubes from England. We use to live there in the 80's and I miss it. It makes the best gravy:) Of course I am up for anything else. Even McVitties chocolate covered Hobb Knobbs or would love any of the Stroopewaffles from Belgium. I know England seems to may have a postal strike going on soon, so I am sure we would be aware of the delay.

mommyandwife 10/28/2009 #

calmond 10/28/2009 #

@mommyandwife It is having a great turn out! I was thinking today what types of items would be from Virginia and I just kept thinking we are famous for Virginia ham and Virginia peanuts--LOL! I don't think mailing a ham is a good idea! ;)

mommyandwife 10/29/2009 #

@calmond I'm from dalton Georgia we are famous for carpet, can you imagine the shipping on that overseas? Heck i couldn't afford that regional.

mommyandwife 10/29/2009 #

mommyandwife 10/29/2009 #

calmond 10/29/2009 #

Partners! Woohoo! :)

candigirl 10/29/2009 #

Hi, you all... I am from the boring midwest, from just south of Chicago, but even though I can't send you a deep dish Chicago style pizza or a Chicago style hotdog, I do live in the only town where they make "Beer Nuts"..laugh if you will, but I bet everyone has seen them or had them in an airplane or a bar, etc... We also are the home to the first "Steak and Shake" restaurants, and we have some AWESOME handmade chocolate shops here, so I hope my partner will like receiving some "edible goodies".... The other thing we have is the corporate headquarters for "State Farm Insurance" and "Mitsubishi North America"..yeah, I am sure you'll be wanting some of that...NOT. hahahaha...

Penben 11/ 3/2009 #

I would love to find a ZhuZhu pet bed/pet carrier-either store bought or homemade would be great` I live next to an outlet mall & can find just about anything here in Indiana. Lots of craft stores & bookstores too!

sariberry 11/21/2009 #

I just wanted to say that I DID send my package a couple of days ago, but I don't have internet at home and so I wasn't able to post that I sent it. So... to my partner: your package is on it's way!!!
