One of the parcels I received today from somewhere else was opened so I can share what the customs leaflet has to say...

Aussie Rules: No meat, no dairy, no Raw nuts, no seeds, no straw, no tea with fruit pieces, no sand or soil, no "tea containing seeds, fruit skin (for example citrus and apple peel) and fruit pieces". No feathers, bark, dried herbs, pot pourri, pine cones, corn. No raw hide, egg shells.

From my understanding tea which is commercially processed under heat, is plastic or foil sealed with a full list of ingredients should be ok if it doesn't contain fruit, nuts or seeds.

After all that fuss it's probably better to send me hot chocolate. Would love some marshmallows - but they'd have to still be in a pack. It's a pity I love my teas.

Thank you sooo much ...... I hated to "single out" not sending tea to Aussie's but I personally had a problem before. Now I know why :) !!

I know you don't hate us... how could you? :P It's not your fault. Just like it's not my fault some guys who somehow made it through medical school are too stupid to see that what might have passed in the 80s as entertainment just isn't funny now. Most Aussies are from a multicultural background themselves and realise the hypocrisy, if not the stupidy, of racist jokes.
