This is my first whack at coordinating a swap and what better way to start off my journey then jumping headfirst down the rabbit hole? For this swap you will create ONE ATC for TWO partners (for a total of two ATC's) based on the theme of Alice in Wonderland. The original illustrations by Tenniel are available in several places online for you to print off, paint, color, collage, etc, if you're not comfortable drawing or painting yourself. Please don't just slap a Disney's Alice in Wonderland sticker on a background! Newbies welcome but no recent 1's or 3's please. Have fun with this one! I'm excited to see the range of results from all of your crafty endeavors! EDIT I agree with other's comments and think this swap should stick with the original version of Alice in Wonderland and leave Disney out of it!

I'd prefer the classic original version as well, but either is okay =] Totally joining. I've loved anything Alice ever since I was very young.

Hi Ladies!...John Tenniel's stuff is great and QUINTESSENTIAL for sure, but there is also "M.L. Kirk" and "Arthur Rackham" illustrations. Don't forget about them! If you're interested, I can post a link to where you can grab some of their stuff.

Although I prefer classic Alice to Disney Alice, I think I'll sit this one out. I don't like it when restrictions are placed on the type of art one selects. There are so many versions of Alice art, and all are cool in my book.

Can we use another version of Alice in Wonderland besides the original or the Disney? I really enjoy the American McGee version. It's a tad darker though... and the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland is something I'm super excited about.

Absolutely, other versions are more then welcome. I just didn't want to end up with a billion disney versions. i love the darker ones myself. And the new Tim Burton? SOOO excited! I got some GREAT ATC's from a free-themed swap with some of the new burton images.

I'm really excited about this because I love Alice in Wonderland but Im new to this- how do we pick our partners or are they picked for us?? Basically, who do we send our work to?

You will get assigned a person to send it to shortly after the sign-up deadline. Someone else will get assigned you. The yellow box off to the right of the swap description will have that information when it is available. Happy swapping! :-)
