Concern has been expressed that may making 4 cards was a bit much. So lets make this much easier. One card, one partner. For this swap, we will concentrate on mediums! (See the first lesson in the forum.) You will create 1 card for 1 partner, (for a total of 1 card). Use an รขโฌลunusualรขโฌย medium to create your cards. Donรขโฌโขt use any of the mediums talked about in the lesson. Look for something out of the ordinary. (I know a lady that boils leaves, and uses the residue to paint on coffee filters. That is an unusual medium! Use coffee, tea, or berries as a base.) Or, if you use an ordinary medium, use it in a way that is not usual. (Use a medium from one discipline as though it were part of a completely different discipline. Glue yarn or string down to make a picture instead of painting or drawing the picture. Make a whole picture using nothing but coloured glitter. Or coloured confetti. ) (Degas would boil his left over oil pastels down at the end of the day, dry them out, and use them the next day to create semi-transparent layers in his paintings!) What you will do with the mediums is entirely up to you รขโฌโ senderรขโฌโขs choice. Just make sure the medium is different! Because this may be taxing, I will give just a bit longer to do this one, so we can all come up with good ideas! |
