Pride swap for Pride month June 2009!

June is recognized as Pride Month by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community worldwide. Events are held in June to commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion in New York City on June 28, 1969, which most historians consider to be the birth of the modern LGBT civil rights movement. At the time, police raids on bars catering to LGBT patrons were common, but that night, the patrons of the Stonewall Inn fought back. While historical accounts of the night vary, the violent response ignited a national firestorm of activism that brought new visibility to the struggle for LGBT equality.

If you're lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, third gender, pansexual, genderqueer, intersex, something else, or just like rainbows and glitter, this is the swap for YOU!

Each person will send 3 Pride items to 1 partner. Items may include ATCs, books, videos, clothing, buttons, patches, banners, flags, rainbows, mix CDs of LGBTQ artists, or anything else you think of when you think of Pride month!

Hearts are appropriate if you get more than 3 items or if the items are extra-fabulous!

Last day to sign-up is June 8 and you have 2 weeks to send your package!

Other Stuff: -Anyone is welcome to join, newbies or veterans alike -I reserve the right to ban people if I feel they have a history of flaking -Please send items of the quality that you would like to receive, but don't break the bank (probably the package should be worth $10-20) -Swap is International, so keep shipping in mind when putting your package together
