Let's get to know each other more! I wanted to host this in December but had so much going on and was already hosting another e-mail swap at the time, so I moved this one to January. Rating your partners with a  is recommended if the e-mail was sent on time and fulfilled the swap requirements below.
NOTE: The number of partners changes depending on how many people join this swap. I will change the number of swap partners after signup closes. But 20 is the maximum due to the system's limitations. So if five (5) people join this swap, you will be sending to four (4) partners. And if thirteen (13) people join this swap, you will be sending to twelve (12) people. This is my attempt to solve those "I wish I had X as my partner but the system didn't assign that person to me" cases in electronic swaps. :'D
I. Swap Rules: Answer the twenty (20) topics below and e-mail it to all partners:
Feel free to say things like "prefer not to answer" for several questions, and it won't affect your rating. You send every partner the same answers, so sending to multiple recipients in one e-mail is recommended. However, please Bcc your partners' e-mails if sending it to multiple people at once.
Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions/goals for the year and will you make/set more for next year in 2025?
What are they and what are your new ones? What date from last year will remain etched in your memory and why?
Summarize the 2024 year in three words or less. (EXTRA: Do it in one word, too!) And summarize 2025 for what you hope or wish it'd be by the end of the year, in three words. (Extra: do one too, if you can!) Did anyone you know give birth, get pregnant, get engaged, or get married?
Did anyone you know die or have a serious illness?
What would you like to have next year that you lacked this year (doesn't have to be a physical thing)?
What do you wish you would have done more of? Less of? Who was the most interesting new person you met? What was your biggest achievement last year?
What political or social issue stirred you the most?
What was your job or freelance or volunteer or school work like this year? What do you do? Did any roles or assignments change? How have people around you changed? And how has a relationship changed? (Second question is for any kind of relationship; doesn't have to be related to love.) What did you do in your spare time besides postal mail stuff and crafts? Who did you spend time with this year and what did you do together? What have you learned throughout the year that is not related to art, crafting, and mail? Can be a new skill or a life lesson.
And in terms of crafts and art stuff, what is your favorite thing that you made? What changed about your physical appearance? (Hairstyle, clothing, accessories, wrinkles, white hair, new makeup style, new clothing style, etc.) And how about your favorite outfit for warm weather and cold weather? What do you wear when you dress up? Any new clothes or accessories you really love? Did you make or give up on any efforts to be healthier? Diet, water, exercise, etc.? Favorite meals, snacks, desserts, restaurants etc.? Eat out or eat in? What about mental health and self-care efforts? What did you do on your birthday and how old were you? When is your birthday and did you feel differently? Do you think you are still the same person that you were at the beginning of the year?
How so? What changed in your home?
What was the best new or new-to-you thing you bought or acquired in some other way? What are your hopes and dreams for the new year? Recommended if you can talk about family, travel, work, lifestyle, hobbies, pets, appearance, etc. But answer what's most comfortable!
II. When you receive a partner's e-mail and the above instruction is fulfilled, rate them a 5 with a . Rating your partners is required.
Remember to rate me a Coordinator Star ( ) for this swap (It's the section above where you rate your partners; I think a lot of people forget that part exists).
III. Feel free to start writing your answers as soon as you join this swap, and save your answers as an e-mail draft first, without waiting for partners are assigned.
Or feel free to wait until only after partners are assigned, before writing your answers. It's up to you.
IV. Partners will be assigned ON TIME at around 1:00am Swap-bot Time.
This is one hour after joining closes. If you have 3s or 1s or other issues, it is better to join this swap earlier and not at the last minute, so that there is more room for communication and potentially fixing things if anything happens. Of course, 3s and 1s isn't everything to decide a swapper and things aren't black and white, but this is an example. NOTE: I may simply assign partners earlier, or even right at 12 midnight, instead of 1:00am especially if all participants are 5.00 swappers.
