Description:

I tend to avoid store-bought postcard swaps because I don't collect postcards and, quite honestly, the small talk often required for the message kills me. I rather express myself with color, images and other decorations on postcards.

That's what this swap is about: doing up the β€œbusiness side” of the postcard and sending a little piece of eye candy to brighten your partner’s day.

You will get one postcard - ANYTHING with a design on one side and blank space on the reverse side. To fill out the postcard you MUST add the following on the message/address/stamp side:

  1. A border of some sort around the card. You can paint this, rubberstamp, use marker, doodle, etc.

  2. Something you've hand-drawn. You do not have to be a professional illustrator for this. Hand-drawn can be simple doodle symbols (hearts & stars) or also bubble lettering/calligraphy. Don't overthink it and don’t be too hard on yourself.

  3. A rubber stamped image or pattern.

  4. At least 2 decorative stickers (address labels do not count).

  5. A quote, lyric or motivational saying. No other message is required.

ADDITIONALLY, you'll need to incorporate at least 3 different colors in your decor additions.

You CAN NOT double up the prompts. So if you rubberstamp the border, you will need to add a different rubber stamped image to complete both prompts. If you draw the border, you will need to draw something else to complete the hand-drawn prompt.

Send naked and stamped; mention the swap title and your username somewhere on the postcard.

If all prompts are present, the swap is complete. You can not rate down because you dislike the postcard design or the colors used, etc.

This IS a postcard swap, but I’m labeling it a Type 3 swap because the expectation is that you will take some time and put some actual creative effort into decorating your card for your partner.
