We all know a bit of classical music. Bugs Bunny runs to Rossini. Porky Pig revels in Puccini. Delta Airlines plays Gershwin. Your television shows might play some background chamber music. Your task here is to think of 1 to 5 pieces of classical music that you like. Send the names and composers to your partner. You might write for example: Ravel: Bolero Rossini: Figaro's aria Bizet: the Toreador theme song DvoΕΓ‘k: The New World Symphony Vivaldi: "Winter" from "The Four Seasons" Try to select items that might be available on radio streaming services or on You Tube or other venues. You don't need to provide links, but you should provide enough information that your recipient can find and listen to your music. This might be a great opportunity for those of you who are classically-curious and want to know more. You may use a postcard or a note card or write on the back of a laundry list. Try to be specific: for example instead of "Beethoven" perhaps pick one of his sonatas you like. Instead of Puccini, you could write "Tosca" or more specific, "Vissi d'Arte, Vissi, d'Amore" |
