I've really struggled with the whole index card thing...mine always look like oversized ATCs, which is NOT the intent! Please watch THIS video to see an example of what a decorated index card should look like...and enjoy the hilarious Julie of Camelia Crafts while you're watching! I mean...people use these in junk journals; some people even make booklets out of them! Let's start with a set of required elements: a flower, a postage stamp, book page, and a label. Of course you may include other elements as desired, but remember that the idea is to NOT make an oversized ATC, but to end up with a cohesive card. Margarete Miller is, I think the Queen of decorated index cards, so check her work on Pinterest and/or YouTube, and be inspired! |
