Description:

This swap is for all of those who want to learn something new, whether it be quilting, jewelry making, crocheting, etc. Its time to expand our horizons a little............For this swap you will have one partner. All participants need to comment below what new craft or techinique they would like to learn, and list at least two options. From these choices your partner will construct a beginners kit of some sort, it can eiether be store bought(already put together), or you can put it together yourself, for example, if your partner were to chose crocheting, you could get them a skein of yarn, some needles, and maybe a crocheting for dummies book. An actual completed item of the craft they are wanting to learn would be great too............

Include some extra special beginners projects(which you can find online) for hearts. Feel free to post anything you might like included in your beginners kit(to give your partner some ideas), but keep in mind it is senders choice............ So, here are the rules: the spending limit should be around 15-20 dollars, but if they request a craft that you specialize in,you may luck out and it could be cheaper for you :-)

YOU MUST INCLUDE A SPECIAL PROJECT/DIRECTIONS FOR THEM TO COMPLETE SOMETHING

YOU MUST PICK ONE OF THE CRAFTS THAT THEY SPECIFY NEWBIES ARE WELCOME,WITH 12 COMPLETED SWAPS UNDER THEIR BELT.............NO EXCEPTIONS

NO ONES OR RECENT NO SENDS,MUST HAVE AT LEAST A 4.9 RATING. I WILL CHECK PROFILES.

i hope this goes well, lets have fun :-)

jewelry making or beading (I'd really love to learn to make my own knitting row markers/counters), tatting, quilting, spinning yarn (on small spindles hand held ones I guess I'm not sure what they are called.

I would LOVE to learn how to make a biscornu, hardanger, or tatting. Tatting might be difficult as I am a lefty and all drections I find are for the righty population

I forgot to mention I would love a sample of the new craft. I am more of a visual learner. it helps me to see what I am working on for the first time

I am currently learning how to knit, but I would love to learn how to make socks (I don't know how to do that). Or for a new craft all together I guess how to make your own body lotion.

I would like to learn to needle felt, how to decoupage items (for example...a small box), how to create/decorate a matchbox, or how to papermache (i've heard it is really simple but fun)

I'm excited and also willing to try something my partner chooses for me if they don't know much about any of the above and know a lot about another craft, feel free to message me.

lotion or soapmaking, body scrub/polish,lipbalm ,that type of thing would be my #1 choice, but candlemaking would be cool too

I think we should do this swap again! I really liked the package from my partner and think about this idea, a second swap where we send someone something we made with our new crafting skills.

Anyone interested? Scrapkween would you be interested in hosting the swap? I feel you should be asked since this was your swap and it would be a swap based off the crafts we learn from this swap.... I'd be happy to do it if you aren't interested.
