RAK Random Movie Destash #1 - January

On New Year's Eve I watched Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve and had snacks. Pigs in Blankets and veggies and dip. On New Year's Day I made a nice dinner with my son Billy. I had turkey. Billy had steak. He doesn't like turkey.

Hi and Happy New Year Everyone ❤️🎊 My husband and I aren't the party animal type🥳so typically we stay home🏠 and enjoy a quiet evening together. 👩‍❤️‍👨I am not superstitious, yet I still enjoy doing some of the many NYE/NYD traditional superstitions.On NYE, we just chill and watch TV🥶📺 together. We always kiss 💋,say I love you🤟 and Happy New Year🥂 at midnight. Whatever you are doing at midnight, you'll be doing all year. A year full of love. 💕 On NTD, I always eat greens🥬 for money 💰and blackeyed peas for luck.🤞You should always leave a little bit on your plate to assure you have food all year. 🥩🌮🍕We don't do any household chores🧽 on NYD. Washing clothes 👗 = the death 💀 of someone close to you. Washing dishes 🍽️= wash away your luck🌟, sweeping 🧹= sweep away your good luck.🤞 So to be safe just leave the household chores alone. I might try to add some more of these next year. 1. Open door 🚪 to outside of your house🏠.Do this just before midnight🕛 so you can let the old year out🧙‍♂️and welcome the new one.👶 (It doesn't have to be opened for long) 2. Carry an empty suitcase 💼 around your house🏠. It can just be for a few minutes⏲️, it's seen as setting yourself up for adventures🧭 in the new year. 3. keep a few extra dollars💸 on you to welcome in the new year believed to ensure prosperity🏦 all year long. 5. Eat 12 grapes🍇 ( one for each month) to bring you good luck🍀 in the New Year 6. Good luck🌠 to wear polka dots👙 on New Year's Eve for good luck.🍀 7. Do not loan or spend any money 💲on NYD because you will be doling money 🤑all year long. Sorry for the long post, just thought🤔 it was interesting and wanted to share. Suzanne

Hubs and I ended up sick!! We put together Gingerbread houses that were 50% off $4.50!! STEAL!! and we then slept until dinner time where I made snacks. for him. ( He was sick both, I was Sick NYD). It was a head cold, Sinus, allergies. We then watched Nashville's country music program at 7 CST.

NYD we had his parents over for black eyed peas and a game of rummicube!! Then we napped!! Fevers are the worst!!

This sickness of sorts must be going around. As we had plans with my 3 of my 5 adult children for New Year's Day. The other 2 couldn't be here. Because one of my daughter's her daughter had some kind of Flu and it lasted 5 1/2 days. Poor girl! She's 12. And, One of my sons couldn't be here, due to having to work. He travels for his job. My 3 children that came, we had a Ham and Chicken dinner ( some don't like ham & some don't like Chicken ) and the rest more or less potluck. We finished dinner and my oldest son's kids 16 & 18, started vomiting. My thought was dinner. But everyone else was alright. Thank goodness! We were all going to play some card games after dinner. But as you see, that didn't happen. But I was more worried about my grandkids anyway. So, I told it would be alright to take them home. The next day, my son & his wife took them to the doctor and found they got the Flu. but didn't say which kind. Either way, it lasted them 5 or so days too. My grand kids had the same symptoms. I'm glad they're over it and it wasn't the Covid. My oldest daughter 3 children 22, 19, and 17. Were just fine after dinner and stayed fine. But we decided not to play card games anyway. Since we were all worried about the kids and so My oldest daughter and her children went on home. So, My husband and I spent the rest day & night watching movies on Netflix and some Hulu and we both fell asleep on the couch and missed the last half of a movie, ha! We woke up, it was 1 PM. So, We miss wishing each other a Happy New Year. I guess age has a factor in there, ha! Anyway, Happy New to you all !🎉
