Description:

Have too much scrap fabric, or would you like to try something that might not be in your usual groove? Feeling "stuck in a rut" because you want to try new things, but you KEEP ending up with the same stuff, somehow?

I have a LOT of scrap fabrics of all kinds: different materials, weaves, and colours. Scraps are often smaller than 6x6 but may be taken from damaged (washed) garments and decor and thus, be larger.

Nothing under 2x3" should be sent unless asked for.

What is in your stash?

Fill a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope (the 'soft envelope' ones that are ~$9 flat-rate) with scrap fabrics. Folded or flat-laid fabrics tend to fit best in those.

Trims and ribbon are also acceptable to include if it is in good condition.

You have ONE partner!

No 1s or 3s on ratings that are unresolved, please. Must have at least 10 type 3 ratings to join, all 5 rated. This is regional for the USA only.

Fabrics are sender's choice unless a partner has an allergy, such as to wool. Be aware that a sender may not know the exact content of all fabrics. Yes, allergies to synthetic fabrics DO exist. This is usually an allergy to the formaldehyde-based flame retardant or sizing chemicals used on fabric.

Please do not send anything perfumed, smelling of smoke, or covered with animal hair. Use a lint roller if necessary. All participants are advised to wash all fabrics upon receiving them in case of allergies to the partner's pets.

If you have me as a partner, I would prefer either quilting cottons and/or wool. Ultimately, it is sender's choice - but still wanted to put my preferences in case my partner has a large scrap stash!

I have a LOT of scrap fabric -- all for cottons for quilting. That is the only kind of fabric I use -- that's what I'll send and I hope my partner will send only a little (but it's your choice, of course). If my partner wants to note here that she would like buttons or books about quilting I will send iether or both

I have quite a lot of fabric, many of it 'odd' fabrics like nets, embroidery cottons (like the white dress cotton kind,) costuming fabrics and faux fur, home decor fabrics like heavier reupholstery kinds, and reclaimed garment fabrics like soft cottons or poly mixes.

If anyone would like a box of reclaimed flannel shirt sections, especially sleeves, just pay shipping. I upcycle these for things like small crafts and ornaments but I have a TONNE of them. I'm happy to part for free, just pay the shipping on approx. a large size USPS priority box.

I love a variety of textures, unexpected prints, and all kinds of findings. I use fabric in both junk journal/mixed media projects, and sewing & quilting. I enjoy harvesting from clothes, etc. 😅
