Description:

Dear Ladies,

You know the girls and I are always making things on a rainy afternoon. The girls, especially enjoy embellishing their journals. They have lately been making what they refer to as word clusters. A simple word or phrase can add a powerful impact to a journal entry or prettily crafted page, something as simple as β€œDream” allows you into the mindset of the art on a given page, a sentiment such as β€œMeander today” may emphasize a thought for the day.

With this in mind, let us craft two such word clusters for our partner in this swap that will add something special to one or two of their journal pages.

Happy Crafting,

Lady Elizabeth

What is a word cluster? It is two or three layers of torn or cut craft paper with the addition of a scrap of ribbon, fabric or lace to soften it, and a word either printed on your computer, or handwritten and placed on top. This is not a large craft, the clusters should be not larger than 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall (7.5 cm x 5cm) give or take a little, this measurement is only a guideline. There is no need to put a clip on the reverse side, these clusters can be glued in by your partner or clipped to a page as an accent, using their own clip. Once you have created your two word clusters, write a little note to your partner, no need to write in character this time, unless you are inclined to do so.

Have fun with this and create a little piece of wonderful that your partner will love receiving. If there are any questions, we are always happy to help.
