Description:

This swap is for one smallish deco book for one partner.

The deco book should be small enough to fit inside a typical envelope (no bigger than about 6" x 5") and not be super thick or heavily embellished. It may cost more than a stamp to mail, but should still be on the small side. You may need to make a new deco book for this requirement if everything you have on hand is too large. Note that you are not required to mail this in a standard envelope, but it should be possible.

Some guidelines:
* Homers and international decos ARE allowed.
* Please send no more than one deco unless you've checked with your partner prior to sending.
* The person the deco is for (who it will return to) should be clearly noted somewhere on the deco.
* Don't send your partner a deco they've already had, or one for them.

You can't always control the types of decos you receive and need to move along, but please follow these guidelines if starting a new deco:
* The person the deco is for (who it will return to) should be clearly noted somewhere on the deco.
* Make it reasonably sturdy and nice, with pages that can be decorated easily. Not glossy or otherwise hard to adhere to.
* Decos should be in book form, not loose pages for example.
* If it's fairly flat and can fit in a normal envelope, its chances of getting full and being returned to you are much greater. Huge, bulky ones are much harder to move along.

I believe no one should host swaps they aren't willing to angel themselves. I will angel if necessary, but I screen participants very carefully to minimize the risk of flakers getting in. I will remove participants with poor ratings, late swaps, drama, nasty comments, or other swapping history that concerns me at my discretion. If you have any negative swapping history and want to participate, please proactively message me to explain. Otherwise, I may ban you with no notice if I am suspicious. And I tend to be suspicious and protective of my swaps. :)

Because of delivery issues, multi-profiler/flaker concerns, and site policies I require real names. If you join a swap of mine with a fake name or no last name, you will be asked to fix it.

This swap is U.S. only on account of postage costs. If you want an international version, feel free to host your own. :)

According to the Swap-Bot Glossary: A deco is similar to a friendship book and there are a wide variety of types. It is a bound book of pages which are sent around the world. The person that the book is for is usually listed on the cover and when the book becomes full it is sent back to them. Each person that receives and signs the deco will decorate one page according to the theme of the booklet (if there is one) and put their postal/email address and sign their name. Typically, each entrant in the deco must use one full page to express themselves. Glitter, sequins, feahers and other scrapbooking supplies are frequently used in decos. Despite the artistic expressions used in these types of friendship books, the basic rules of passing the friendship book to person to person is the same.

If you are new to decos, please do a private swap first before deco swaps like this one. I'm happy to do a private swap with new-to-decos swappers, but let's keep this to people with some deco experience.
