Description:

For this swap we will create some BEAUTIFUL Spring bookmarks. You will have 2 partners and make 2 bookmarks each for a total of 4 bookmarks. BUT, here's the catch:

ABSOLUTELY NO sticker/crayon/no effort bookmarks. These need to be something beautiful that you would be very proud to trade. I make my bookmarks from a silver shepherd's hook with pretty dangles. I also make book thongs...so let's take it up a notch and make them really pretty. If you use cardstock for your bookmarks...make them exquisite. I am encouraging each of you to make some really super pretty Spring bookmarks. Here are some alternatives to cardstock:

~ Polymer Clay
~ Cross Stitch
~ Shepherd's Hook
~ Book Thong
~ Shrinky Dinks
~ Magnetic

Rules: Must have a 4.9 rating, zero no sends, must log onto swap-bot during the 2 weeks prior to partners being assigned.

The send by date is not a suggestion, it is one of the rules in this swap, by which you will be rated. No late sends!! If something happens in life...communicate with your partner. This is not profile specific, so start early to send early!

Happy Crafting!!!

I hope magnetic cardstock bookmarks will be okay? I actually prefer those to thongs or hooks, for some reason the latter always seem to fall out of my books when I'm carrying them around. Great idea for a swap; I think we're all ready for spring. :)

What's magnetic cardstock? I am a sewer, quilter, cross-stitcher, is that ok?

VJP 03/26/2009 #

Yes that is great!!

Actually, "magnetic cardstock bookmarks." Cardstock folded in half with magnets attached so it clings to the page. :)
