Description:

Hello everybody! For this swap you are going to be making a Profile credit lucky Parcel swap for your partner! You will take a bag such as a tote bag, handmade paper bag, a cosmetic bag and fill it with five envelopes or five wrapped packages for your partner. Each package should contain a gift or gifts for your partner. Each of the five packages inside of the main package should contain a profile based gift. This swap is intended for people who pay attention to profile details.

After partners are selected please feel free to reach out to your partner and ask them for a list of things they may or may not like to receipt. The value of the swap before shipping should be roughly $10. Therefore in each of the five envelopes you may wish to place two or more items for your partner valued at around one to two dollars total. Then you will wrap each gift or place each gift in a bag. Everything does not need to be store-bought just send an exciting package. Then you will place the five gift packages inside of the main bag. Then you will wrap the main bag in wrapping paper or tissue paper.

You can also be creative and make your bags and gift wrap on your own. You can also hand make the items for your partner if you like. The idea is to have a main bag with five packages inside of it full of gifts. You can make the bags from 12x12 decorated paper, kraft paper, etc. But try to embellish them with pearls, bead or buttons. Even stamps is acceptable.

  • a wrapped main bag

  • 5 packages or wrapped gifts inside of the main bag

  • a note from you on a card

What a great idea, and I'm interested in joining this one :)

I have a question, though. What do you recommend for best way to determine value if one hand makes the gift items? Asking to make sure it feels "fair" ( not sure if this is the right word, but I hope it makes sense) if there were to be a mix of things or all hand made items. (I mean, it's possible that hand made could be more "valuable" because of materials and time invested than a store bought item, but not everyone might see it that way?)

The best thing to do is just be generous when sending handmade items. If you get my name send me everything as possible handmade. That is always worth more in my opinion than any factory made item. So like a scarf would be valuable handmade way more than a store bought one. Just think of what the sales price would be on Etsy in order to decide. I have started making my bags and stuff all by hand for this swap. They are turning out very cute.
