Hi swappers! Did you know that each of the 12 months is associated with a specific bird? I found the list on Audubon and thought we'd create a tag with the bird-of-the-month--1 for each month. So . . . according to Audubon, the bird for April is the Canary! For April, we'll create a size #6 tag (2-5/8"x5.25") featuring a canary. Let's agree to picture a canary OUTSIDE of a cage. To cage a bird and rob it of it's flight seems so sad! Please begin with a sturdy base, crop the upper edges to create a tag shape, punch a hole at the top and string something (ribbon/jute/twine/charm) through. For your info, here are the months and associated birds: January: Owl February: Parrot March: Robin April: Canary May: Nightingale June: Dove July: Eagle August: Kingfisher September: Hawk October: Swan November: Rooster December: Raven Hope you'll join me in a year of bird tag swaps in 2021!
