Have you ever made a binder trading card? I have...and I have quite a collection! They are like skinny ATCs, with a couple of twists. First of all, the size: they are 3.5 inches tall, but only 1.75 inches wide. They are fully decorated on both sides, with or without embellishments that hang over the sides, top, and bottom. Finally, there's a hole punched in the top left of the front side, so it can be added to a binder ring. They're easy to display, and make a pretty spectacular display, with several BTCs on each ring, with all the ribbons and feathers and...well, any sort of embellishment, actually...hanging off each of the cards. I thought for March, we might make a card featuring the double-crested cormorant, which is the official bird for the month of March. This is honestly quite a different-looking bird, with feathery "crests" on either side of it's head, and with webbed feet like a duck. I welcome the challenge...and I hope you do, too! |
