I've heard people describe witch balls as a way to protect a home. I disagree. That's the job of the witch protection jar, which contains pins, needles, sharp things, and sometimes even the witch's urine. Meant to be nasty things, they were buried near the front door to ward against the Evil Nasties. We are NOT going to be making one of those! A witch BALL, on the other hand, is there to bring in blessings. It's a small christmas-type ornament filled with herbs, stones, charms, etc to draw blessings to the home. Some ingredients may be: Most craft stores have empty ornaments this time of year. You may put anything you like in your witch ball. This is Sender's Choice. That means you can start to make it now before I assign partners. So.. One witch ball to one partner. Make it pretty. Make it witchy. Add a note with a blessing for the ball. Wrap it carefully and mail on time. Have fun. USA only because of the cost and the fact that our mail is pretty messed up right now. |
