OK, time to break out of your patterns and try freeform crochet! If you've never done freeform, then a cuff bracelet is the perfect way to begin! I'm a beginner at freeform, and I'm loving the freedom of it. Just a tip: At Dollar Tree right now, there is a fabulous book: Freeform Crochet, that you can pick up for just a dollar, or google freeform cuff bracelet for inspiration. Some ideas: Start with a freeform motif, make more of them, and join into a bracelet shape. Add beads if you like, and leave button holes for fastening, or add snaps if you prefer. Or: Start with a chain, then do some waves, then in the next row, fill in the waves or enhance them. Maybe do popcorns, shells, flowers, leaves, or leave spaces as in the example, with rows of chains. Get into a meditative state and let your fingers go. Rip back if it looks ugly and try again! A cuff isn't a big commitment, so you can try several things to see what works. So: One partner, one free-form cuff crochet bracelet. The bracelet needs to have some way to fasten it on. Senders' choice, have fun. I feel like this is perfect for CPG, because you should be able to mail this for just 2 stamps, I think. Unless you make it full of chunky beads or buttons. |
