Description:

I found Swap-bot while in mandatory isolation. I quickly found out I couldn't provide a permanent address for people to mail to, hence all the electronic swaps. To say thank you for your patience, I'd like to send someone happy mail as a Random Act of Kindness. This year has been tough for so many people, but finding Swap-bot has helped a little!

For this swap, comment below listing your top 3 favourite swaps. Write a short paragraph for each. This might be a good place for hosts to see which swaps to people might like to repeat.

  • What was the swap? Electronic, flat or package?
  • Why was it meaningful/enjoyable for you?
  • If you would like, you can list who you swapped with and who the host was, but if you prefer not to for privacy, that's ok.

All welcome! But I'll check participants before assigning. Be prompt with your sending and rating. 5 for completion, heart at discretion.

To recap - Comment with a list of your top 3 favourite swaps. Write a short paragraph for each. This swap is electronic and rating will proceed as such. I will send happy mail as RAK!

Happy swapping!

I've enjoyed so many lovely swaps. These ones come to mind at the moment.

Private journal swap - We exchanged journal prompts and were accountable to complete it. It was electronic with photos via email. It helped me actually use some of the prompts I'd pinned on Pinterest. I'm really grateful for you @efjellro

Buyerachy of Needs - I hosted this one and wasn't sure if people would like it. But I did! It was electronic and we exchanged pictures of how we're avoiding buying and recycling etc. instead. I met @BloomingRoses and found we had a lot in common. She's been making some amazing craft things and I'm really happy we met.

Pinterest through the alphabet - We had to make a board starting with the letter A and so forth. It was hard but a really fun result. Thanks @smadronia for setting these up!

Since joining Swap Bot, I've completed over ~220 swaps! It has been a fun-filled experience for sure! Here are my top three (all were flat/Type 2):

Snailmail Pals International - We wrote long letters to our partners about our lives and included goodies. My partner wrote to me from the UK and we were very compatible. She sent lovely items and we exchanged follow up letters. I really loved learning about my partner's life and hobbies.

WIYM: Match-a-Stamp Mail Art #5 - This swap encouraged us to be creative and since I love stamps, it was even more special to me. After all, stamps are tiny pieces of art! I loved selecting a stamp depicting a bird and then creating a whole themed collage of birds on the envelope and bird goodies inside! The partner who sent their swap to me was a professional artist and her art was stunning and matched the stamp beautifully! Her envelope is still on my bulletin board a year later!

GROUP: CPG Flower Flat Envie - US Only - I adore anything floral so this swap was right up my alley! My partner loved the color purple so I enjoyed hunting for the prettiest of purple flowers and vintage illustrations! In the process, I discovered the magnificent Passion Flower. If you've not seen one before, be sure to search for an image. Amazing and unique! And my partner sent me a wide array of floral goodies. It was like opening a garden! I love any swap that involves "flat flowers!"

Thanks again for hosting this unique e-swap and RAK! xo!

Stickers Swaps & washi swaps are easy flat mail swaps that I really enjoy. Theyโ€™re quick and donโ€™t take too much time to put together.

The Painted Penny Swaps in the past month were fun. An unusual tiny painting thatโ€™s quick to whip up. I kinda wish there were more swaps like that. Possibly some Inchie swaps would be good (I have an idea for one, but am waiting to get through some one my current hosting swaps before I start a new one).

I really enjoy Christmas swaps!! Iโ€™ve hosted one several times in the past for Christmas gift tags (you know the labels you put on your gifts that say To: and From:). Theyโ€™re an easy flat mail. Most people have a bunch of the same gift tags and swapping gets you to the opportunity to trade some out for different tags. http://swap-bot.com/swap/show/162487

Christmas cards: These swaps are often what keep me coming back to Swap-bot during the holidays. My friends and family donโ€™t really send Christmas cards any more but I still enjoy the tradition of sending Christmas cards. I LOVE to hang them up as Christmas decorations during the Christmas season as they arrive in the mail. These are definitely an easy flat mail

Okay so that was sorta 4 faves. I do also like seeing completely NEW artsy swaps that requiring painting or making something, but I feel those are a little rarer on here.

Thanks for hosting!!ย โ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅ

I rated! This was my first electronic swap - so hopefully I understood correctly that you just leave a rating for your partner on their comment :) There's nothing to actually send. Right? LOL!

Nothing to send. I rated too! :)
