INTERNATIONAL SWAP

I like to buy recipies magazines, but most times I ask older people for their recipies treasures, and end up with lots of small papers with recipies, losing some of those papers sometimes.

Then I though of organizing them in a cookbook, that way I would have them right at hand when I needed to make something delicious.

So, why not swaping a cookbook?

You'll have one partner and will send him/her a blank cookbook. It can be store bought or made by you...but make sure it is something you yourself would like to receive, OK?

If you want, you can send one or two "treasure recipies" of your own...or something to be used by your partner, in his/her kitchen...

Let's aim for hearts!

No newbies

Swapers with rates higher than 4.6, and with NO "no-sends"...otherwise I'll ban the swapers that do not fit these requirements.

Happy swapin'!

What's a blank cookbook?

Hi Emily! A blank cookbook is where you can write down your own recipies...with a cover intended for that...for instance, when I bought my first on, it came with a nice recycled cover, and it had a wood spoon attatched to it...

A photo album type book with those sticky plastic pages is good, too, some of the pages can be those to collect clipped recipes from magazines, etc, and some with pockets to hold recipe cards, like the 4x6 photo pocket pages for some albums, and some blank paper to write in your own, or to put in pages you print from the computer with three-holes for a looseleaf binder album type book.

I like larger books, because my recipes don't fit on those small index recipe cards--if they do(for instance old ones from my Mom's collection), they are usually too small to read easily, so I enlarge them and print them on paper, then slip them into page protectors to keep them clean. Some tabbed section dividers for categories of recipes and you have a great organized collection.

Hmmm...these really are useful ideas, I'm going to sign up and make one, or two! Cyn

Thank you for the suggestions, they're always welcome!

Hey, everybody! I've been having some very disappointing surprises, and so I decided to change my swaps' requirements, as I don't want "my" swapers to be unhappy, as I am. So please check if you fit those requirements. If not, please drop from the swap, or I'll do it for you. I'm sorry, but I hope you understand my position. Sandra
