Description:
 I swap with Swap-bot!

[Much of this description came from a 2010 swap by Morgaine.]

This is the first Swap I've hosted. Thanks for taking a look!

For this swap you will create your version of an Imbolc goddess (Brigid or any other interpretation of late winter/early spring), and you will do it by decorating a paper doll like the one in the picture. (Another example can be found on my profile). The dolls can have articulated joints or not as you wish. You may choose whichever body-type configuration best fits your vision.

Go to this page for the template:

http://www.theenchantedgallery.com/paperdolls.html

The page also has some intructions and ideas as to how you might decorate and what sort of material to use. But do use your imagination and make the doll your vision of the goddess.

You will have one partner and send one doll. Make sure your goddess doll is printed on sturdy, thick paper of a good quality.

Please remember when rating that people have different artistic skills and different views of the goddess. So please rate fairly with this in mind.

Other than that all I ask is that you do your best with the doll and have a good time with it. If people join/enjoy this swap I may continue them throughout the year.

Please include the followig information on the back of your swap:

Title: (Swap name)

Date:

Artist (real name):

SwapBot handle or Magical name: (if you have one)

If your current rating is below a 4.5 but you'd like to join please message me.

One of the Swappers here wrote me to ask if there was a size requirement. When printed to scale (there's a the template creates a "doll" 7-9" tall. The swapper who wrote says hers is closer to 4".

Do any of you care if the goddess you recieve is smaller (or larger ) than the template?

Thanks - Susan (Postman's Daughter)

Size doesn't matter to me. I printed my template to fit a standard size sheet of card stock 8.5x11 I think. She's roughly 7 inches tall, but because of the way the arms are positioned I did notice that she isn't going to fit in a standard size envelope, so printing smaller may help to avoid that. Whatever someone wants to send my way will make me super happy. <3
