Description: | |
Here's a fun washi swap to come play in. π Using small "snippets" of your different tapes, you are to totally cover the front side of a plain envelopes. Covering the back side is optional. This will become the mailing envelope for this swap. You can either leave an area to write the address, or you can use a label over your tape (If you choose the label method, you will want to cover it with clear tape.) You may use any size envelope to start with; the bigger the envelope, the more tapes you'll be able to show off. ;) Your snippets don't have to be tiny. I make mine about 2 to 3 inches, and then fill in gaps with tinier pieces, kind of like a puzzle. Any kind or brand of tape may be used, with one exception: NO duct tape. Inside the envelope, please include a little note with your swap-bot ID, along with 4-5 samples of washi tapes for your partner to play with. Please give about 21 inches per tape sample and wrap it on a shiny surface that will allow it to peel off easily. Playing cards work well. (I tend to wrap 9 times around a standard size playing card, with one side being one wrap.) Note: I found that some of my tape snippets wanted to peel up on the envelope, so I ended up putting some clear tape on some of the ends to keep them in place. HAVE FUN! P.S. This is one of those swaps that we can start prepping beforehand if we want to. |
