UHM: Altered File Folders

Let's swap some altered file folders! You can either send it full size or cut down to any mailable size, but it's more fun if the tab cut out is part of the piece. Get inky, painted, sticky, stitched or whatever gets you going, and create a cool bit of mail art to send to your partner.

Start with a manila file folder, not a decorative or plastic type.

Paint it, mono-print it, doodle on it, collage it, watercolor it, add washi, sticker slap... There are so many options! Cover the whole front side at a minimum. If you glue things on, make sure they are bonded well enough to withstand the rough handlers in the postal system.

If you send it in an envelope, decorate the envie or use a clear plastic sleeve so your art shows through. Sender's choice on theme, just make sure there are no elements included that your partner's profile lists as "no thanks."

Inside the folder, put something fun or interesting or useful or clever... Just make sure it won't fall out in transit. Also include the information needed to be rated; swap name, user name, etc. Send on time, and rate promptly.
