My favorite thing about being in this group is being able to create and upcycle many of the fun bits that come my way from happy mail. This will be a fun and slightly challenging swap but don't fret. I am putting in video links to explain. We will be making a roughly 4 x 6 inch journal. If the pages turn out smaller or you feel like making a larger journal that is okay. Using a simple stitching method Shown in This Video we will sew in our pages to the cover of the book. The book will be a minimum of 20 pages (10 papers folded in half). Do please decorate the front of your journal. Also please add decorations such as stamped images, tuck spots, or pockets to at least one third (1/3) of the book. You will want to leave big blank spots for writing and for your recipient to add in what they would like for fun for the journal you are creating. Your journal could be smaller but similar in idea to This journal Click Here for more Info on how to make What do you do with your a magpie junk journal once it arrives? Check out this video for inspiration This is a more challenging swap but I think our MJS group is up to the task. If you receive a journal that hits the minimums but wasn't quite up to your tastes please do still rate a 5. However, I think our group is creative and will likely surprise each other with their creativity. |
