Creative Collage Journal

Hi fellow crafters,

This swap is not my original idea but loved it so much that I was inspired to host a swap myself with same general idea (with permission from the previous host of course). Previous swaps have called this a Glue Book, it is same general concept just different name. This is my first time making one myself and am really looking forward to getting started.

Here are the instructions:

Find or create a book or booklet to use for your journal. It should be 5X7 or larger and the pages need to be strong enough to hold your collage artwork.

Journal will have a front cover, back cover and at least created 10 pages of collage fun inside. You may make the journal with additional pages so that your partner can add his/her own artful collage if you like.

You can bind pages or signatures any way you like: staples, book glue binding, sewing, punched holes with rings...etc. you create the journal how you would like to receive it. You can even use an actual old book cover if you like, I think that is what I will do for my journal.

Pages should be sturdy enough to withstand the weight of the glue and paper you will be applying.

Include any image, words, stamped images & backgrounds you choose. You may use any size or shape of paper (shaped, torn or cut) you want in your journal, creating layers of collage until you are done with your masterpiece .

Although this is a collage and you be using paper to glue down, feel free to add a few embellishments as long as there is not so many that it takes away from the beauty of the collage itself.

You will have a month to complete your journal so you have plenty of time and will not be too rushed to enjoy the process.
