Description:

Calling all stampers, card makers and collage and ATC artists. This swap is a scavenger hunt for stamped images. You’ll have one partner. Send your partner six stamped images of each item from the list below. The images for each specific area can be all the same or different. That’s up to you and the stamps you have. This is an international swap.

a) A sentiment or poem

b) A flower

c) A person

d) A place

e) A thing

f) A holiday image

g) Something artistic

h) Something unusual

i) An animal, fish or insect

j) Something to do with water or the sea

k) Something to do with sunlight or the sun

l) Something to do with moonlight or the moon

m) Something musical

n) Something representing nature

o) Something funny

You interpret each of the 15 areas. Please be sure that your stamped images are clean and smudge-proof. If your images are small, leave enough room between each for cutting/trimming.

The images can be embossed. Any ink colors acceptable. If you’re so inclined, feel free to get creative on the media the images are stamped on (i.e. cardstock, dominoes, tags, chipboard, etc.) Just be sure to have six of each topic for a total of 90 stamped images. If you’d like to do more, that’s fine.

There's no need to wait for your partner assignment, start stamping now.

Newbies welcome with a completed profile. No 'no sends' allowed. If you're rated, you need to have at least a 3.5 rating.

Happy stamping!

How fun! I think we should have 2 partners, then if one flakes we'll still get something from the other. (I also think the 3.5 rating is a little lenient, most swaps these days are requiring at least 4.5 rating to participate)

Hi Jewels! Thanks for the suggestions. I thought about making it two partners, but that seemed like a lot to stamp. I didn't want anyone to stress about having to stamp 180 images. :)

We'll see how it goes with the 3.5 rating with this swap (I used the guidelines on the start-a-new-swap directions), and I'll raise it on the next one I host.

Thanks again!

a 3.5 rating seems low to me too, high flake chance

Hi, do i have to emboss the images or is it o.k. if they are stamped with a waterproof stamp pad? (just because i hate embossing ;-)) Greetings Ingrid

Wow. I think I have a decent stamp collection, but I couldn't fill about half of these categories by any stretch of the imagination. Too bad we can't do half that many categories...Oh well! another time, perhaps!

Hi Bavarian: Any way you want to do the stamping. They don't have to be embossed.

Mandaladreamer: Remember, you're interpreting the categories. I aimed to keep them pretty generic.

I want to join but also find the rating of 3.5 to be low. I did see this at the "Altoid Tim Swap" and thought it to be a really wise decission: (hope they don't mind I borrowed it)

  1. If your ratings drop during or after the swap partners are assigned then i will contact your partner(the person who sends to you). They will send to your partner or hold onto your item until the person you send to receives there. You will have 7 days (if you are US)or 14 days(if you are international)to get your item to your partner. After that you will receive nothing if no response and no delivery is found out.

What about adding this to the swap details?

Hi Prpldy: That's a great idea. Thanks!

Poggy123, your images were mailed today! Hope you like the selection. My hubby is off on a short trip so I took advantage of the time to do a marathon stamping session last night. I hope I included a lot of stamps that you do not already have. I think you will agree that it is an interesting assortment! Enjoy!

Starwatcher, I did receive the stamped images. Thank you! I am hoping that I can scan your images & copy them to cardstock. There were several that I do not have.

A package of stamped images is in the mail today and on the way to Oregon. Enjoy!

Poggy123, I received your package today! THANK YOU!! I love all the stamped images you sent, and all the little extras. You have a some great stamps in your collection!

I will be sending my package off to my partner in the next day or two, I got delayed in finishing as I had a little bit of a dilemna in my stamping room but all is back to normal now! :)

123Poggy123 04/11/2007 #

Dee, I am glad you liked what I sent. Have fun!

Starwatcher 04/11/2007 #

Poggy, if you have trouble getting them onto card stock, let me know which images you need and I'll send them to you.

Artistic - WOW! You went above and beyond! Thanks for a fabulous collection of stamped images and the wonderful organization. You sure showed me how to do it - for next time! I never thought to organize each category into a separate bag and to label it, figuring the images would speak for themselves, but it sure was wonderful to receive such a neat and organized package! And what a fantastic collection of images! Thanks again for sharing!

Starwatcher: Glad you liked the package of images!
