This is one of those RAK swaps, that seem popular right now.

I cleaned off my craft desk with the last destash RAK. I cleaned out my stickers drawers. Now it is time to clean out my used postage stamps.

It is time for you do to the same. Clean, purge, organize you decide, but lets clean up this area or our "saved for an art project" stash/mess.

To participate, you must Clean, purge, organize, you decide, your used postage stamps stash, and post a comment about doing so, by the sign up deadline, June 21st. If you dont comment, I will remove you from the swap to avoid you getting a less than desirable rating.

In the comments area below swap please answer at least 1 of the 4 prompts.

  1. I made....

  2. I made nothing, but I found......

  3. I organized them ...

  4. I wish I had more....

feel free to add other comments.

You will rate your 4 partners for posting in the comments, below, that they cleaned, purged organized their postage stamps.

This is international since it is an electronic swap and the only person required to mail the envelopes is me.

My partners will get a postcard made from my purged stamps. stamped and naked. Not in an envelope.

I organize my used postage stamps in a 3 ring binder with plastic pockets by theme. Flowers, fish, trees, boring people, famous people, dogs, cats, mammals, Christmas etc.

I am not that far into collecting used postage stamps, but absolutely love them!

I wish I had more foreign used postage stamps. I have a few foreign and they are beautiful, I would love to see more of those :)

Thanks for the RAK!

I'm both ahead and behind on this. Most of my collection is in storage. So I organized what I have in my RV. I used a small index card box to do so. Sorted by people, plants, animals, other.

I organized them ...the ones I could get to so when I dig down in storage to my collection itll be easier to add them to my binder. I believe it's about midway down and midway deep in the 10x10x15 stacked wall to wall and floor to ceiling.

I wish I had more....people stamps. I adore the ones with people on them! Also, certain people specifically. I don't have mr Rogers yet among others.

I also have some stamps in storage. But the ones I have out are only a few and are already organized. I recently purchased some faux postage rubber stamps and a punch to make it look like a postage stamp. I also purchased some paper pads that have postage themes. One 12 by 12 at Joanne's by DCWV called Postcards for about $4 and the other is 8.5 by 11 from a garage sale by Paper Studio called Poetic Postage for $3 unused. I love stamps and have since I was a little girl. They are compact and have such beautiful art work for something so small

So far it looks like you have 100% chance of getting a postcard from me. Yeah! and thanks for the chance to clean up my postage stamps.

@AZmon875 thanks for having these swaps because it’s forcing us to organize. I collected stamps as a child and now I’ve started back collecting. I made....I’m in the process of making 6 ATCs that are ocean related. 😁 I also gave some away in a swap. I found that I had more ocean related stamps than I expected. I also found a little baggie I’d stamps that someone sent to me in a swap.

I organized them according to what they are. All butterflies together, flags and Stars and Stripes, people, etc. Right now they are in small envelopes labeled with what they are. I need to eventually put them in a binder. I wish I had more stamps from different countries in Africa.

I love the idea, image of patriotic US used postage stamps to make colorful artful designs. The one in the photo is beautiful. What about postage collage of patriotic us stamps in shape of US flag?
I like using the US "fireworks" postage stamps in the background.
Geo Washington postage stamps I used on PC showing Mount Vernon.
Its fun to think of various ways to create mail art, ATCs using used postage.

I love your idea @Whippet !!!

OK dont laugh but I am making many postcards. And I am now inspired to do a swap with an Ispy like theme. Adding fun stamps in with the ugly patriotic ones and putting the Ispy list in the message area. I made 2 today, but haven't posted the swap yet.

I am still new to collecting used postage stamps so I don't have many to organize. Right now I have my stamps in two envelopes: domestic and foreign. I have made a couple things using used postage stamps. The first was an ATC, then a postcard. I really enjoy incorporating used postage stamps in my creations. The ideas on here are really awesome. I wish I had more used postage stamps (domestic and foreign) so I could create more things using them. Thank you so much @AZmom875 for hosting this swap/RAK! πŸ’•

Thank you for this RAK!

I keep my old postcard in a nice pocket to protect them, and have a small drawer with all the swaps that I received. I don't feel like removing the stamps from the envelopes, even if I love them so much! I like that they tell a story with the postcard/envie they are attached to :)

I have a spreadsheet on Airtable of all the stamps I have here in the US, organized by country, year, theme, and photo. I have many more back in France, but for now, they are treasured by my dad! :)

Good luck everyone!
