Description:

Lots of challenges, huh?! I keep finding more, and I can't help but share. :) Challenges help me meet my goals, especially when it's something I'm doing WITH someone - Write On Challenge, InCoWriMo challenge, Unread Shelf challenge .... Notice a pattern? I sure am! :)

I'm also trying to add more journal type swaps to the group, but from reading around online, it looks like International mail doesn't really, really want us to mail things! So, then I have to get creative with the swap wording so none of us has sticker shock when we go to the post office to post a swap! So, please explore with me, and if you have any thoughts or information about shipping, etc, please let me know with a PM, ok? This is supposed to be FUN and ENJOYABLE and not terribly expensive!

I recently came across the Boho Berry Challenge If you want to join the newsletter, it's free to do so, but you won't have to for this swap. There is also a link to her Facebook page and Instagram account on that page, if you wish to follow.

Since January is almost over, and the February challenge hasn't been posted yet, we'll try a trial run of some of the topics to cover the last week of the month. Ideally you would do one topic per day, but if you do more than one on a day, how would we know? Am I right? And since you are sending this off to your partner, you can be as detailed or as basic as you want. IT's what YOU want to and feel comfortable sharing, ok?

To keep this swap possible to mail as a LETTER and appease the postal gods, the minimum requirement for the swap is a hand written or typed document, each entry around 1/2 page long. BUT!! You can write more or make the entries into a journal to send if you wish to do that. You do need to write to each prompt you you can make make it your own. It's open to your interpretation of the prompt or question. My daughter saw this and said 'That sounds like a guided free for all". I like that, so that's what we'll call it, ok? :)

The benefit to this swap, if you type it, you can keep a copy for your own journal! :)

This swap isn't profile based, and you can start on it now, and have it ready to go once partners are assigned. Because there are only a few prompts, and I hope to have the February list soon, there will be a short sign up/send by time.

These questions can be found on the Boho Berry Challenge January Check in on the website, if you would like to go back and do all of the topics.

January Topics

Day 1 Favorite person

Day 2: Favorite pastime

Day 3: Favorite Pen

Day 4: Favorite notebook

Day 5: Lessons learned

So, for this swap, you will need to write (by hand or typed) a minimum of 1/2 page for each of these topics, and once partners are assigned, we will mail off to our partners. Sound good? Once the February challenge is posted, I will set up a swap for the month of February like this, with a full 28 days. If you do one per day, it shouldn't take too long. :)

Remember! This swap is about the writing activity, not presentation, decoration, etc. So if you receive a swap from your partner answering each of the prompts with 1/2 page of writing, on time, that should be a 5. If you wish to send an actual booklet/journal, or to decorate your pages, add art, that is fully up to you. You may even print on both sides of the paper, as long as the type or ink doesn't bleed through too much, make the words hard to read.

This swap idea will be a work in progress, so if you have ideas, comments, etc, please let me know via PM. :) My aim is to give us writing challenges and keep the swap lightweight enough to be less expensive to send. :)

As always, please PM me with questions or comments, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a comment if you are just watching the swap.
