Description:

I have so many leftover pieces from crafting - you can only use the same purple flowers so many times before you are just sick of it.

So this is a swap to send away..to spring clean...to regift all those left over pieces of paper, stickers, fabric, ribbons, buttons, threads, embellishments, yarns, paints, glues you didn't like, anything sewing, knitting, quilting, painting, beading, etc, etc, etc, etc.

This is perfect for scrapbookers, ATC makers, sewers, knitters, quilters, painters, and general crafters!

Split your goodies into 2 - you will have 2 partners to send to. Put together a manilia envelope sized collection of items that would mail for about $5. [8x10 envelope maybe] This is a US only swap so you can mail a lot of scrap paper or ribbon for $5 to one person :) up to a bit over 2 lbs of stuff!

Dont buy anything new - that would make the swap to pricy - just send items you no longer want, need, like, or use.

Please make sure that the items are useable - dont send broken or dirty items....

Anyone with a lower then 4.0 rating will be dropped from the swap.

[oh, and if anyone wants red or silver ribbon, contact me and we'll swap]

mutantpenguin 03/21/2007 #

Hm... I don't do scrapbooking but what about yarn? Patterns? Maybe throw in some notions?

Craftlover10101 03/21/2007 #

I would love to be in an international swap like this

Hi mutantpenquin

sassyheather 03/22/2007 #

I think any type of supplies would be great to swap out - any sewing, knitting, quilting, painting, beading, etc. I don't do scrapbooking either - but I alsway end up using scraps for my ATCs or sewing projects.

As for international - maybe... we will see what the demand is :) If you look at this swap and live abroad - and want to join - tell me so we can seeabout making one forworld wide!

Craftlover10101 03/22/2007 #

Ya know I'm going to back out of this one. I'll wait till there's an international one. thx though

I too have way toooo many left over scrap pieces. BUT I hate throwing anything away, you just never know when you might need it for another project...My husband just LOVES me for this!!!! He thanks you for helping me weed thru these "goodies"....(at least what I receive will be "new", to me anyway!!!)

sassyheather 03/30/2007 #

lol@Aerochik - no problem - we all need to weed sometimes :)

Sharpie 04/10/2007 #

Auh, too bad I don't have enough leftovers to split or I don't think it will weigh enough.. looks like I'll have to sit this out one out untill I have more stuff collected up. I hope you do another swap like this in the future it sounds very interesting and fun to get things that people didn't want and use. Looking forward to participating in a future swap of this sort though!

I just finished cleaning out my mom's apartment after moving her to a new one. She had a ton of stuff from projects she never got to and leftovers from projects she finished. I'll have fun sharing it.

I know you said $5 .. but can I use a priority mail flat rate envelope? (It's 4.05)

sassyheather 04/19/2007 #

Sure - you can cram a lot into those envelopes as well. I actually sent off 2 flatrate boxes - $8 isnt so bad to send a bunch of stuff.

Craftersbag and JMP2cute4u , my apologies for the delay! I was waiting for pay day to come. :( Your packages are going out tomorrow.

suzylucie 05/ 3/2007 #

Big thanks to Nikki in OH for a fun package of stuff. I'm not a scrapbooker but your fun stuff has inspired me to maybe give it a go!

suzylucie 05/ 4/2007 #

Cathy Jewell, recieved your goodies...more fun scrapbooking stuff! I guess I'll definately have to give it a shot, I'm all set with supplies now. Thank you for sharing.

Suzilucie I am not into sewing so I chucked when I read your profile. I thought OH MY this is not good. I hope you like the idea sheets. Maybe it will help and give you ideas for ATC's you will find out how much fun they are to make plus they are quick. I am really glad you liked it.

Nikki
