Description:
Send 10 teabags to 1 partner. Include at least 7 different flavors. (This means you can send all 10 different, or you may include a few duplicates as part of the 10 required.) Teabags must be new, individually wrapped, sealed, and NOT expired. No loose tea for this swap, unless requested by your partner. (If you want to receive loose teas, please state in the comments.) You may include any type of tea: herbal, black, green, white, fruity, spicy, mint, chai, sweet dessert teas, seasonal flavors, caffeinated, decaf, etc. Optional: Please post a comment below with your tea likes, dislikes, or any allergies. Your partner may check the comment if it helps them decide which ones to send. We try to send what our partner will like, but this swap is ultimately sender's choice-- you cannot rate down for receiving a disliked tea.

Shouldn't this be a type 3 swap? I feel like 10 tea bags would definitely have to go as a parcel.

@skier11 I have always considered teabags flat mail since they easily fit inside of a letter or notecard and can typically be mailed at the price of a letter. 10 teabags fit in a standard size business envelope... in this case the mail piece might be too thick to be considered a "letter" but should be a "large envelope" and should not have to be mailed as a parcel.

A large envelope can be mailed for 98 cents if it is one ounce. Each additional ounce adds 21 cents. I don't see why this can't go as a large envelope, so it should not be $3. Most type 3 swaps are larger packages or they are crafts that involve a lot of time and effort. I guess I will change this since people are concerned, but I'm not going to mail mine as a parcel.

I just mailed 10 tea bags costed me 3.50

Just depends how you package it. If you make the mail piece thicker than 3/4 inch then it is considered a parcel. I just put my tea bags into a regular business envelope and mine went as flat mail... can't remember if it was $1 or if it was $1.21. extra 21 cent if it went over 1 ounce.
