Description:

This swap is an opportunity to de-stash your collection of mixed media art materials for atc's, inchies, skinny cards, smash journal, junk journal etc.

Please send your partner 30 items that you likely won't use in your own work or have enough of your favourite styles to share. This can include but not limited to:

any kind and any size of paper for backgrounds excluding construction paper

die cuts, gift tags, raffle tickets, dictionary or book pages

paper clips

doilies or textured paper

ephemera, vintage looking items, old photography

rubber stamped images on card or book pages

brads, embellishments, jewels, buttons, ribbon, lace

cool image cut outs

anything else you can think of that could be used on any paper craft or mixed media art.

Yes, one brad or one button is considered one item. One piece of paper is considered one item. Please don't send all one type of craft like 30 atc background papers. Mix it up and make a nice diverse package for your partner.

No stickers for this swap please

This will be senders choice. You could prepare the package early and have it ready.

If you receive 30 single items from your partner, please rate a 5. Hearts at your discretion, of.course!

For those in the last flat art supply swap, I've changed the amount from 20 to 30 items for this swap

Can anyone tell me what the average cost is to send this type of swap to other countries ?

WoodlandBanshee 10/ 9/2017 #

@FrostedPeppermintLolita - I am in Canada and I generally send more than the requirements. I pay about 2 - 5 dollars for packages to Canada or United States, and as high as 10 dollars (Usually to Australia or New Zealand).

I know it is quite different in the US where it is super cheap to send within the country and more expensive anywhere else (including Canada) so I can't be so specific. It would depend on what you put in it and where your partner ends up being. I've spent as little as 2 dollars for this swap and as much as 10.50 Canadian. It's a gamble.

Maybe an American can weigh in here?

As a point of reference, I mailed 3.10 oz. (so rounded up to 4 oz, I guess) from Texas to the Netherlands this morning in a large (9x12" maybe?) envelope, packed flat (lumpiness and thickness both matter), for $5.15.
