Description:

I have been doing these color fat 1/4 swaps monthly and really love them. There are several regular swappers and we are always open for new ones to join in the fun, too. Since I love to sew, I thought why not make it a quilter's fat quarter color swap theme. I see a lot of swaps for yarn out there and also just for colors, but none for those cute little fat quarters we all see at the material shops. You can use them to make quilts, hats, purses, doll clothes, or anything that takes about 1/4 yd of material. Approx: 18" x 22"

We are on swap #18 the new year 2009 and it will be for "Winter White" colors, anything that makes you think of winter. It can be just plain "winter white", or snowflakes, that winter scene, any themed print or plain white for the month of January this time, since it is "Winter" I thought it would be appropriate as a theme and you can choose any "Winter White" print theme or plain white colors. These swaps are fun and I love doing them.

This swap will be all about "Winter White" colors and prints. That means any material as long as it has a "Winter White" theme or white colors are in your fat 1/4.

This is an open swap to overseas and USA.

You will have one partner to send to.

Send:

  1. 4 fat quarters in "Winter White" theme or white colors
  2. "Winter White" colored thread
  3. "Winter White" themed or plain white colored note cards/ journal/ stationery
  4. "Winter White" themed or plain white colored surprise gift

    Make your package go together....

The fat 1/4 can be solid, prints, dots, stripes, or any pattern as long as they include winter colors or the "Winter White" theme or plain white colors.

You should send a package that keeps true to the "Winter White" prints or white colored theme as much as possible and is worth at least $15-$20 (pre-postage). If you wish to substitute other items for #2 and #3 that is ok as long as it is something to do with sewing and the package theme color or colors.

Please note that I have added a Flickr page to post your photos and Thank-you for all your packages received. See the site address above.

Look at your partners profile and include extra items such as notions, buttons, stitckers, needles, pins,a pattern, bias trim, ribbon, lace,or any other item you think in prints that would be nice to receive. This can be an inexpensive mailing package. That is why it will be fun.

Please have a rating of 4.75 and zero no sends. Newbies are welcome; please have a well filled out profile and email me BEFORE you join. Otherwise I will delete you from the swap!!

Lastly, please rate your partner accordingly. When you receive your swap, rating them is a great way to let them know you received it.

If you have not received your swap in a timely manner, please email me and I will try to assist you in conacting your partner.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this swap.

Happy Swapping!

I'm sorry, I'm sure this is probably more than clear to everyone else but I just want to clarify. You're saying the FQs can be any colour as long as they include "winter white" theme. Does that meen they can be any colour as long as there is also white? Or any colour (no white at all is fine) as long as it is winter themed?

they can be winter white or anything with a winter scene or with a winter white backgroun. Any color that makes you feel like winter. Does that make sense? A winter scene is fine...

I have sent all the swaps that I entered into they were late. It has been a very bad year for me. I had a heart attack, pacemaker put in, husband got hurt in war and my mom died on dec 24, 2008. I am looking foward to a better 2009 and would appreciate if you would let me join the swap. Really I am not a flake and very much enjoy this website. Thank you, Vickie Roush
