Description:

Hello all! Welcome to the Journal Swap!

Here's how this swap works. Get some kind of journal like a composition book or other journal that you can fill out over a month. You can do whatever you want in it just make sure you fill it with stories, journal entries, collages, art, recipes, whatever you want. Your goal should be to fill a page or a couple of pages every day. Do not join this swap unless you can commit to at least doing an entry every couple of days, preferably every day but we all know life happens.

If something does happen and you are unable to finish or have a chunk of time missing, be prepared to send what you have and message me. I will "angel" some content to your swap partner if needed or extend the swap to give you a day or two to fill your journal. It is extremely time consuming to angel so if I am angelling for you please allow for some extra time.

This swap will start on Feb.1 and end on Feb. 28th. So you should fill up the journal throughout February and mail it by March 8.

Since this is a long term swap, I am not opening it to anyone with 3 or 1 rating within the last 6 months. (If you would like to be considered please message me with details on a low rating.) Also, no newbies. You must have participated in at least one other type 3 swap.

Keep in mind that you want a nice, well thought out journal and full journal in this swap so don't send anything less than that out. When you receive your journal, rate it on how well it is filled out, not necessarily if what is in it is completely tailored to your tastes. However, when putting your journal together it would be considerate to at least make it somewhat enjoyable for your partner.

Any questions, message me!

If I use a composition book does the entire book need to be filled by the end of the month?

@BeadDiva No, you don't have to fill a whole composition book. That's really hard to do. Just do something everyday or several things every couple of days. I always include some goodies too because filling a whole journal in only a month is a lot. Your partner should be receiving a journal you invested in and spend time on and are proud of.

Does it matter what size it is? Could it be a half composition book or 4x6 journal or should it be closer to a full size comp. book? Could an entry consist of just art or should it be a combo of written word and art? Thanks for hosting.

@junieandj It doesn't matter what size. However, if you use a smaller book you should be filling more pages. I've gotten larger and smaller journals and sent out larger and smaller journals. Just send out something you put time and effort into. You should be sending something you wouldn't mind receiving.

You can fill it with anything you want. Art, writing, junk, collagues... whatever you want. I always try to put a little of everything in there. It's a long swap to try to have fun!

My disappointment in this swap is working a month in writing a complete daily journal, decorating when it seems appropriate, including goodies for my partner and getting NOTHING but "thanks" (not even a heart) in return. It makes my month of work seem worthless. This is not the first time this has happened. I LOVE making journals, but I may quit this group because it's too, too disappointing!!!!.
