Description:

I have a crazy amount of scrap booking paper and one of my favourite things to do with it is to make envelopes! Now that I have far too many in all my favourite colours I thought it would be fun to send them on, and get some different ones!

What to do: You will have two swap partners

Send each partner an envelope containing at least 5 homemade envelopes as well as a note with the swap name, the date and your username.

You can use any method you like to make envelopes (you don't need anything fancy, I used to just pull apart a cheap envelope as a template) but they should be sturdy paper that will travel well in the mail and at least 3x4 inches (although any size or dimension larger than that is fine). Pretty paper is preferable! Labels and double sided tape on the flap are optional.

Any questions please PM me. Newbies with well filled out profiles allowed. I may remove people with multiple unexplained low ratings.

Last year's calendars are wonderful for making envelopes! It's one of the first things I do on New Years day - collect all the old calendars and start making envelopes. Just a thought. :)

This looks like a great swap! Please be aware that 4.70 is a very low rating here. 4.9 or 5.0 is much better. :)

Also, will you be addressing your '1' rating before this swap is assigned?

Just letting all know that you can mix 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts craft glue and use this on the back where the sticky flap gets closed when mailing. Let it dry and when the user wants to use envelope they just wet it or give a quick lick like a stamp and it sticks. Works every time and it's what I use on the back of my handmade stickers.

HippieChick, I have been in contact with the person I owe the swap to, thanks for asking. I think the 4.7 was a default thing - I am checking profiles before assigning partners. I'll change it to 4.9 next time.

Artbysonya, great tip! Thanks!
