Description:

In about 1999, I started keeping a list of the books that I have read. You know how it is, you pick one up, read a chapter, and say to yourself "I think I've read this".

Anyway, I was just thinking that it would be interesting to see what others are reading, and/or if they also keep a reading list. Now, I don't suggest that you put any details regarding the books into this list. Maybe just the name of the book and the author.

I have joined the quarterly reading logs in the past, but I then go on a stint where I don't read for several months and am scrambling at the end to make the swap.

This is just a "for interest", and a chance to "show off" (if you want to call it that) swap. You might get some good suggestions, some series lists, and maybe even swap a book or two.

Regarding the "series list", one of the best things I ever learned at the library was about a website called, KDLwhatsnext database. Check it out if you like series books.

Anyway, if you would like to swap your list, please join. I made this flat mail rather than electronic as I sometimes don't see my emails, and also, it is more fun to receive "snail mail".

Any questions? If you receive a list (long or short), mailed by the send date, please rate a "5". Hearts are up to you, but please don't overwhelm your partner by adding tons of details.

Please pm me with questions. Thanks, and Happy Swapping!

So, we just send our partner a list of books we have read? Is there a time frame?

There is no time frame, as this is the first one of these swaps I have done. Maybe keep track of future readings, so you might be able to swap them should I do another round in the future. Or, if in second round you have a different partner, you could just send the whole list again plus the additions. Have to think about this. I don't want anyone to feel pressured that they have to read X number of books in such and such a time. I wouldn't make my mailing too heavy to send due to postage. I know mine will probably mail for 2 ozs. or under. Hope this helps.

OK, that helps a bit. I joined Good Reads several years ago and have been taking part in their yearly challanges, so I actually have a complete record of all the books I've read, at least in the last 5 years, and the lists on the site helped remind me of others I've read. So my list there is over 3500 books long. :) haha. Sounds so impressive ....
I'm just wondering how I would best do this list.
