This swap is inspired by this project: Creative Play Cards Deck. Follow the link to get a visual idea of what we'll be doing. For this swap, we'll make 10 small cards that feature ONE creative or inspiring word on one side of each card. Each card needs to have a different word and also must be decorated (front & back). In this case, "small card" is no larger than a business card (2"x3.5") and no smaller than 1Γ’β¬Βx2Γ’β¬Β. Create the cards on cardstock or other similar weight art papers, recycled cereal box, old business cards, mini playing cards, etc. Decorate in any medium and style. The words can be handwritten, typed, cut & paste clippings, rubber stamped or alpha stickered. What words you use are up to you. Dig around. Find juicy, creative, inspiring, powerful, positive, evocative words. The purpose of this is to provide your partner with a creative resource they can dip into on a Γ’β¬Εrainy dayΓ’β¬Β when they need a little creative nudge. Example words: fanciful, ethereal, luxurious, boundless, radiant, bravado, graceful, vibrant, resolution, kaleidoscope, mirage, inquisitive, bizarre, fluidity, mythical, illuminate, cultivate, juxtapose, sustain, majestic, explosion, abstract, glistening, juggle, bewitch, authentic, flutter, elevate, clarity, intuitive, revelation, spontaneous, pinpoint, invent, wishful, viewpoint, intense, allusion, illusion, odyssey, alternation, rowdy, immense, serene, fluctuate, tenacity, utopia, solitude, valiant -- feel free to use any of these as your words. When you're done with your set of cards, package them in something that your partner can easily reuse to store the cards. Something like a small zip baggie, recycled cello bag, a fun but sturdy handmade envelope...do not just toss them into a mailing envelope and send them off. So. |
