In this swap, we will make six profile-based book plates (ex libris / from the library of / this book belongs to) for our partner. They do not need to be adhesive or gummed. They can be different or all the same. Use any media, but make sure nothing will bleed into the book.

Does it actually have to say the words ex libris etc or can we simply put their name on it. I think once it's in the book, it's pretty obvious it belongs to that person!

My view exactly! But if others want to write "ex libris" or "from the library of" or whatever is customary in their language, that's fine, too.
