Description:

I've always been intrigued by old apothecary bottles and scientific specimens. With Halloween just around the corner, here's a fun swap to combine both of them!

Create a specimen jar of a "Dead Fairy". Your design can be dark and spooky or cutesy, but please avoid gore. The jar you use can be any size and either glass or plastic

FUN STUFF: Create a specimen jar of a "Dead Fairy". the design and style is up to the sender.

NOT SO FUN STUFF: No late sends---rate fairly and promptly---do your best work.

MORE STUFF: If there is enough interest, we'll do other captured specimens in the future---mermaid, Santa, Easter Bunny, etc.

This sounds fun, need to look up how hard or easy this will be and then I may join. The future ones sound fun too.

why is the fairy dead? heartbroken...

luleemik 08/22/2016 #

awww---sorry, didn't want to offend any fairy lovers. I have done lots of captured fairies in a jar that are cutesy, but with Halloween just around the corner, I wanted to to do something a little more creepy.

Someone forgot to poke holes in their mayonnaise jar...

LOL Daisy!

Haven't made one yet, but how do you package these to ship so they don't get messed up en route and arrive looking like a shaken snow globe?

crescendo 09/ 2/2016 #

This makes me laugh! :o) very clever!

@pbcquiltlover you really need to glue down everything inside the jar so it stays put then wrap in lots of bubble wrap and crumpled paper in the box so the jar doesn't move around.
