I love making "one ring journals," and they are a great surprise to receive in the mail! They are easy to make. Just find some journal cards or small pieces of interesting paper that to use as the pages. To make them into pages, punch one hole and slide them into the ring. This swap is for a garden theme one ring journal. For this swap, I would like you to make a one ring journal with these requirements: Sturdy covers at least 5 roughly postcard sized pages (Some suggestions: pieces of scrapbook paper, doilies, large journal cards, and small book pages) At least one page must be garden theme, i.e. a drawing of a plant or a scrapbook paper with flowers on it. one if not more "dangles" (beads, tags, or bells) some goodies hidden in pockets on the journal. One of the goodies can be nature themed! It can be something natural, like a seed packet, or just a sheet of flower stickers or a paper flower. Make your journal fun to touch and open. Send something you would like to receive!

Page size? Does it have to be an actual ring, or can I use ribbon to assemble it?

I recommend making a postcard sized journal, and you may assemble it with ribbon, as long as it is sturdy.

I just finished my journal for this swap, and all 6 pages are garden/nature themed. This was so much fun!
